Campaign Categories & Niches

Admin management of campaign categories and influencer content niches used in discovery and search.

Influenzic uses two independent taxonomy-style tables to classify campaigns and influencers. Both are managed by the admin from the Influenzic admin menu.

Campaign Categories

Navigate to Influenzic → Campaign Categories.

Campaign categories are label tags attached to campaigns. Brands select one or more categories when creating a campaign; influencers use them to filter the campaign browser.

  • Each category has a name and an optional description.
  • Names are freely editable after creation.
  • Deletion is blocked if any live campaign currently references the category. Deactivate unused campaigns first, or merge the category into another one before deleting.

Influencer Niches

Navigate to Influenzic → Niches.

Niches represent an influencer’s primary content verticals (e.g. Beauty, Technology, Food, Fitness). Influencers select up to inzc_niche_max_selection niches (default: 3) during and after onboarding.

  • Each niche has a name, a niche key (immutable slug used in storage), and optional icon/colour metadata.
  • The niche_key is stored verbatim in user meta (inzc_niche_categories) and campaign category index tables. Never change a niche key after creation — it will orphan all existing references.
  • Deletion is blocked if the niche is referenced by any existing campaign category or influencer profile. Use deactivation instead to hide a niche from new selections without breaking existing data.
niche_key is immutable. Once a niche is created and influencers have selected it, the key must never be changed. Rename only the display name; the key stays fixed. If you need to deprecate a niche, deactivate it.
