Content Review & Approval

How brands review submitted content, approve slots, and request revisions with feedback.

When the influencer submits all deliverable slots, the project enters pending-review status and the brand is notified by email and in-app notification. The brand reviews each slot from the project detail page and can approve or request revision independently — no need to wait for other slots.

Per-Slot Actions

Action What to Do Effect
Approve Click Approve. No additional input required. Slot → approved. When all slots are approved, project → content-approved and the posting deadline clock starts.
Request Revision Click Request Revision and type specific feedback. Slot → revision-requested. Project → revision-requested. Influencer notified; revision deadline set to at least NOW + 48 h.

Writing Effective Revision Feedback

Vague feedback wastes both parties’ time. Be explicit about what to change:

  • Too vague: “Not quite what we wanted.”
  • Effective: “The product is not visible enough — please reshoot with the packaging front-facing in better light. The caption must include #SummerVibes as stated in the brief.”

Feedback is permanent on the project record and visible to both parties.

Partial Approval

Brands can approve individual slots while others are still under review. The project only advances to content-approved when every slot is in approved status. Approve the good slots immediately; only send back the ones that need work.

Revision Rounds

After the influencer resubmits a revised slot, it returns to submitted status and the brand must review it again. There is no hard limit on revision rounds within the content deadline window. Use the admin Force Status tool or extend the deadline from the project admin panel if a project gets stuck in revision after the deadline passes.

Auto-Approval Fallback

If the brand does not complete their review by the brand review deadline (default 96 hours after last slot submission, configurable via the inzc_brand_review_hours() filter), all pending slots are auto-approved by the system. The project advances to content-approved, the posting deadline starts, and the brand is notified that auto-approval occurred.

After All Slots Are Approved

  1. 1
    Project → content-approved.
  2. 2
The posting deadline is set: the influencer has a configurable window (default 72 hours) to publish the content and submit live post URLs.
  3. 3
The brand cannot request further revision. If the brand spots an issue after approving, they must open a dispute.
Hooks: inzc_content_approved fires with ($project_id) when all slots reach approved status (including auto-approval). inzc_revision_requested fires with ($project_id, $slot_id, $feedback).
