Deadline Extension Requests

How influencers request extra time on the content deadline, what brands see and can decide, and what happens if the deadline passes without a response.

If an influencer needs more time to produce content, they can request a deadline extension before the content due date passes. The brand approves or declines; the decision takes effect immediately. Extensions are always an explicit brand decision — nothing is auto-approved.

When to Request an Extension

Submit an extension request as early as possible — ideally well before the deadline, not on the day it expires. Brands are more likely to accept when given enough notice and a clear reason. Common acceptable reasons include unexpected production delays, illness, last-minute brief changes, or logistics outside the influencer’s control.

Requesting an Extension (Influencer)

  1. Open the project detail page.
  2. Click Request Extension.
  3. Enter the number of additional hours needed and a clear reason for the delay.
  4. Submit. The brand is notified immediately by in-app notification and email.

Only one active extension request is permitted per project at a time. The brand must respond before you can submit a new request.

Brand Response

The brand sees the pending request on the project page, including the influencer’s stated reason and the hours requested.

Brand Decision What Happens
Accept The content deadline is extended by the requested number of hours. The influencer is notified and the updated deadline is shown in the project immediately.
Decline The original deadline stands unchanged. The influencer is notified. If the deadline then passes with no submission, the project moves to late status and a reputation penalty applies.

What If the Brand Does Not Respond?

Extension requests are not auto-approved. If the brand does not respond before the deadline passes, the original deadline stands and the project moves to late. In this situation, open a support ticket explaining that the extension request went unanswered — the admin can manually adjust the deadline from the project detail panel if the circumstances warrant it.

Admin override: Admins can directly edit the content deadline on any project from Influenzic → Projects → [Project] → Edit. This is the correct resolution path when a brand leaves an extension request unanswered until after expiry.
