A repost request lets a brand ask an influencer to publish additional content after the original project has already been posted or completed. It is a built-in workflow for extending campaign reach without opening a new project.
When Can Brands Request a Repost?
Repost requests are available only on projects in posted or completed status. They are blocked on disputed and cancelled projects. Each request must be fulfilled or declined before a new one can be submitted on the same project.
Common Reasons to Request a Repost
- The original post performed exceptionally well and the brand wants the same creator to reshare it for additional audience reach
- The influencer accidentally deleted the post and needs to re-upload it to restore the live URL on record
- The brand wants the content cross-posted to a second format (e.g. Instagram Stories in addition to a feed post)
- A product launch date shifted and the original timing needs to be reset
Submitting a Repost Request (Brand)
- Open the project detail page.
- Click Request Repost.
- Select whether this applies to the whole project or a specific deliverable slot (multi-slot projects only).
- Enter a clear reason — the influencer sees this text when they open the request.
- Submit. The influencer is notified immediately.
Fulfilling a Repost Request (Influencer)
- Open the project. The pending repost request is highlighted at the top of the page with the brand’s reason.
- Produce the reshare or re-upload on the social platform.
- Paste the new live post URL into the repost request form.
- Submit. The new URL is recorded on the project or slot without changing the project’s current status.
- The brand receives a notification that the repost is live.
Whole-Project vs Slot-Level
| Request Type | When to Use | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Whole-project repost | All deliverables in the project need new post URLs | All slots enter the repost flow simultaneously |
| Slot-level repost | Only one specific piece of content needs to be reshared | Only the targeted slot is affected; all others unchanged |
What Repost Requests Do Not Do
- They do not create a new payment or additional escrow — no automatic compensation for the reshare
- They do not reopen the content review stage — revisions cannot be requested through a repost flow
- They do not change the project’s completion status or restart deadline timers
Goodwill mechanism, not a contract. Repost requests are recorded on the platform but the escrow system does not enforce influencer compliance. If your campaign requires mandatory reshares as binding deliverables, define them in the campaign brief before the project starts — post-completion requests rely on the influencer’s willingness to comply.
